How do you find a day when everyone in a group is free?

Each person adds the hours they are busy once, usually by importing their class schedule, and the app intersects everybody's week to show the days and time ranges with no clashes. It is the same idea as a poll like When2meet, except nobody fills in a grid by hand every time you plan something, because the schedule is already stored.

Is tripi tropi free?

Yes. It is free to use and there is nothing to pay for. It runs in a web browser, so there is no app to install from a store.

Does everyone in the group need to make an account?

Accepted Answer

No. Only the person starting the group makes an account, which is what keeps the group theirs if they change phone or clear their browser. Everyone else joins by opening the invite link, with no sign-up.

Can it read my university class schedule automatically?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can paste an export from Ateneo AISIS, UP CRS, De La Salle Animo.Sys, UST myUSTe or Mapua myMapua and it will be read into your week. A calendar .ics file, or plain text typed out by hand, also work. Whatever it reads is shown to you to confirm before anything is saved.

What does it do once the date is picked?

It plans the rest of the trip. You add stops to build an itinerary with drive times and a map route, assign who rides in which car, set a budget, and log expenses as they happen. At the end it works out who owes whom in the fewest possible transfers.

Is my class schedule private?

Accepted Answer

When you import a calendar file, only the times are kept. Subject names, course codes and room numbers are discarded as the file is read, before anything is stored, so the group sees when you are busy and not what you are busy with. A schedule you type or paste yourself keeps the labels you wrote, since you can see exactly what you are sharing. Trip links you publish are redacted, and the organizer can revoke one at any time.
